I completed my PhD at the University of Goettingen in Germany. My PhD work was in the field of holomorphic dynamical systems. Here is the link to my PhD dissertation on a certain class of fractal sets called Julia sets (Wikipedia) which are totally disconnected.
I did my BSc (hons.) and MSc in mathematics at the University of Dhaka in Bangladesh. As I graduated there with outstanding results (I obtained first class second, and first class 4th position in a class of about 100 students), I won a scholarship from the UNESCO and the IAEA to do a pre-PhD course in mathematics (with a thesis on Differential Equations) at the Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics in Italy. After completing that course successfully, I joined the University of Goettingen in Germany to work towards my PhD. As I changed my field of research from Differential Equations to Dynamical Systems, I preceded this work with another M.Sc. with a thesis on the area of Dynamical Systems, in Germany. I completed my PhD in 2010. I joined the same university as a Research Associate in the field of Human Brain Mapping (posters 2009, 2010, and 2013 ) and statistical analysis.
